If you’re considering testosterone replacement therapy at LT Men’s Clinic, here’s what you can expect.
At your first appointment, you will meet with a medical provider to discuss your symptoms. The provider will perform a brief exam to determine your current T levels. Our offices in Fort Worth and Colleyville are outfitted with highly specialized equipment that is not available at the majority of primary care offices. This equipment allows us to accurately determine your testosterone and prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels, and the test results can be available in less than 30 minutes! We’ll discuss the available treatments with you in detail; these options include injections, pellets or creams.
After you receive your first treatment, we will schedule you for regular follow-up appointments where you will be re-evaluated and receive dosage adjustments as needed. How often you’ll need to come in for a follow-up appointment will be determined by which treatment you select. If you are receiving injections, we will need to meet with you every 7–10 days. Pellets, on the other hand, only require a follow-up visit every 3–6 months. Follow-up visits for creams will depend on your supply. Regardless of which therapy you choose, your follow-up appointments should take less than 15 minutes.
